Are you a licensed electrician?

Yes. We are a licensed electrician working in Sale and across Wellington Shire. For notifiable work — new circuits, switchboard upgrades, rewiring, smoke alarm installs, EV charger circuits — we issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES) as required in Victoria, and we test every circuit before it goes live.

Do you do 24/7 emergency service?

No, and we are straight about it. We offer honest same-day urgent service across Sale and Wellington Shire — not a 24-hour roster. When you call 0407 977 529, we tell you honestly whether we can get there today and give you a realistic time. For dangerous faults — a smoking switchboard or a live exposed wire — call 000 first, then us, and we will talk you through making it safe. See our emergency electrician page for what counts as urgent.

Which towns do you cover?

Sale, Wurruk, Longford, Stratford, Maffra, Rosedale, Heyfield and Yarram — all in Wellington Shire. We do not cover Latrobe Valley towns like Traralgon, Morwell, Moe or Churchill. We are the Sale and Wellington electrician; Latrobe jobs are a different site. Yarram is the long run south (about 72 km on the A440) and is a planned day trip, not a quick call-out.

Do you do free quotes?

We quote larger jobs in writing after a look — things like a switchboard upgrade, a rewire, or an EV charger install. For small jobs and emergency calls we explain the cost before we start. Get a quote for your job.

Do smoke alarms have to be hard-wired?

Yes. Victorian law requires hard-wired (mains-powered with battery back-up), interconnected smoke alarms in homes, and they must be less than 10 years old. In rental properties they must be tested and compliant at the start of every tenancy. We install, replace and interconnect photoelectric alarms to the standard. See our smoke alarm page.

My safety switch keeps tripping — what should I do?

A tripping safety switch is telling you something is wrong — often a faulty appliance, water in an outdoor point, a damaged cable, or a failing RCD. Do not just keep resetting it. Unplug appliances on the circuit and try resetting; if it holds, an appliance is likely the cause. If it trips with everything unplugged, call us for fault finding. For a switch that will not reset at all, call emergency on 0407 977 529.

Can you upgrade my old fuse board?

Yes — switchboard upgrades are one of the most common jobs we do in Sale, especially in the older weatherboard homes. We replace ceramic-fuse and CES boards with modern circuit breakers and RCD safety switches, check the consumer mains and earth stake, and issue a COES. See our switchboard page.

Do you do oven and whitegoods repair?

We do the licensed electrical connection for ovens and cooktops — the dedicated circuit, isolation switch and connection — but we do not repair faulty oven elements, thermostats or controls. That is a whitegoods job. If your oven is not heating, call a whitegoods repairer; if you have a new oven to connect, call us. See our oven page.
